Himeshbhai
I think Himesh Reshamiya is highly underrated. The kind of music he has created over the years is incredible. I've been a fan of likes of A.R.Rehman, Preetam & others. Himeshbhai might not have that great variety in his music, but what he creates is absolute gems. One thing I've noticed is, I like his remixes more than his original songs. May be my taste of music is like that. I am totally overwhelmed by his compositions like Tadap remix (Darling), Viraniya (Namaste London), Shaka laka boom boom remix, Main jahaa rahoon (Namaste London)... I'm sure there are many more...
Music of one two three
There are no doubts that "One Two Three" is one of the best movies of its time.
I am listening to the title track... and I realize what good job Raghav & Kunal Ganjawala have done. Great work. Its sad that their work didn't get appreciated as much as it should have been.

Stardust awards 2008
Me and my wife love watching awards. We had enjoyed Screen awards. So, we were expecting to have a good time watching stardust awards. But the show was way below our expectations.
Performances were lacking energy, comparing was way too cheap... pretty much nothing was exciting. Neha dhupia can't dance. Neither does she have a stage presence. She was okay with comparing, but the script and her co-host were so bad... Kunal Kohli isn't a good choice for hosting an event.
Saif cannot dance either. That's a known fact I believe. Karina and Lara were good, but not great. Govinda has lost some weight, but he can't engage the audiance alone. He should be on the stage with someone.
Sajid Khan had handled Screen awards superbly. This was nothing compared to that. I hope they improve next time.

Abhay Deol - underrated?
Sometimes I wonder if Abhay Deol is the most underrated actor of the recent times. Seeing is believing. So, you have to watch "Socha na tha", "Honeymoon Travels" and "Manorama - six feet under" to agree with me.
After watching these movies, I was amazed with the skills of this guy. The ease with which he portrays these vastly different characters is unbelievably amazing.
I am not a great fan of Deols. I like watching Dharmendra in certain movies (Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Shalimar). Same goes with Sunny Deol. I liked him in Ghayal, Damini, Hero. But not always. Bobby is annoying most of the time.
But this guy is totally different I think. I found him much more matured in his acting than any of his collegues. Hope he gets better projects.

Movie Review - Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.
This is a nice, likable film if you don't look for resolution of the movie. This is not a "all well that ends well" or "..and they lived happily ever after" sort of movie. Well, to a small extent it is. But its more of a narration of past of a few people, how they end up together on a trip & how they spend their 4 days together. During this trip they get to know each other, learn about each other & explore their relationship.
This is a story of six couples which meet during a honeymoon trip to Goa (by bus).
I loved the way the whole film was handled. A nice directorial touch was visible throughout the whole film. All characters were nicely portrayed. Everyone was give sufficient screen time. I loved usage of old songs through out the movie, as the songs were aptly chosen & played at the right time. Acting was brilliant. Music was great as well... especially "pyar ki ye kahani suno" and "aisa mera pyar hai".
Boman Irani & Shabana Azmi: Boman Irani was fantastic. He could convinsingly portray a mid-age newly-wed, showing all his experience & knowledge of life. Shabana accompanied him well.
Kay Kay Menon & Raima Sen: This was a great bengali couple. Both of them did great. Kay kay is really brilliant. His performances are too cool. I loved him in Sarkar. This was another nicely done job. Raima was great as well. I haven't seen her much. But this was a good one.
Amisha Patel & Karan Khanna: Amish looked a bit kiddish at times, but may be the role demanded her to be that way. Karan was good. They have a song together which might have been avoided :)
Vikram Chatwal & Sandhya Mridul: Sandhya was great as always. She has some potential, but hasn't been able to get mainstream roles. I think she was great in "Waisa bhi hota hai Part II", but the film never came into limelight. Vikram did his job well.
Diya Mirza, Ranvir Shorey & Arjun Rampal: Ranvir was great as usual. This guy is too cool. Look at how convincingly he portrayed a delhi-guy in "khosla ka ghosla" and he was as convincing as a young-forcefully wedded-gujarati guy. But his role ended too soon. It would have been fun if he had been around for some more time :) Diya & Arjun didn't have much to do, but were suited in the roles they played.
Abhay Deol & Minissha Lamba: This was another fantastic couple. Minissha looked great. Abhay was cool. Their song-dance was too cool. Loved it.
Overall this was quite an enjoyable piece. It looked as it came from sister of Farhan "dch" Akhtar. Hope it does well at boxoffice (which I doubt).
